Councillor Jo Burke - The Mayor of Whiston Town Council for 2025 - 2026

I am delighted to have been elected as Mayor of Whiston May 2025-2026 and will be representing the Council and Town at official functions (Did you know you can invite the Mayor to any of your functions?). However, I will in the main be raising funds to support two distinct projects in Whiston, both aimed at levelling the 'playing fields' for people in our community.
The first is to raise funds to pay for a wheelchair accessible and inclusive play roundabout for Henley Park (£7,500). I am passionate about all of our children having an equal oppotunity to enjoy our green spaces and hope to see these eventually in every Knowsley park.
The second is to raise funds to support those amongst us who tirelessly volunteer in our community. I will try to make a donation to all of the groups I am aware of (please invite me to find out about your volunteer group and put it on my radar).
