The Centre is named after Robert Foulkes who was  a local Councillor for a number of years, giving a lot of time and effort, for the benefit of the community of Whiston.
The Robert Foulkes Centre is the smallest of the Town Council facilities. The Centre was officially opened by Councillor JW Fearon, a former Chairman of Whiston Town Council.

The Centre is currently used by a number of groups and our own luncheon club is held there each week. The building is situated close to residential properties and the Council always bears this in mind when new applilcations for use are received.

In early 2016 the Centre was given some TLC and now has a lovely new flooring in the main hall. Previously the main hall had a fire door in the middle, with doors on the left and right. As part of the facelift new fire doors were fitted along with glazed windows to either side so they could be opened during nice weather.
