Councillor Tracey Murray. Whiston Town Mayor 2026-2027
Councillor Tracey Murray was born in Prescot and has maintained a strong connection with the local community throughout her life. As a child, she attended St Luke's Catholic Primary School before continuing her education at St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic School.
Tracey has dedicated many years to public service. She is as a local councillor in Prescot having served for seven years and has represented the residents of Whiston for almost four years. During this time, she has worked tirelessly to support local people and to strengthen the communities she knows so well.
In addition to her council duties, Tracey is the lead volunteer for the Park Pantry, which provides valuable support to residents in both the Whiston and Prescot areas. Her commitment to volunteering reflects her strong belief in helping others and ensuring that practical assistance is available to those who need it most.
Having recently retired, Tracey is looking forward to devoting even more of her time to the many groups and organisations she supports. She also values the opportunity to spend more time with her family, while continuing her longstanding dedication to serving the local community.
As Town Mayor, Councillor Tracey Murray brings a wealth of experience, deep local knowledge and an unwavering commitment to public service. Her lifelong connection to Prescot and Whiston, together with her passion for volunteering and community support, make her an outstanding ambassador for the Town and its residents.
