Whiston Town Hall,  formerly known as Dragon Lane Community Centre,  was officially opened by Gordon Oakes Esq on the 26th May 1973.  The Town Council Office is based at the Town Hall, where you will always find a friendly member of staff happy to help you.  The building comprises of a large Main Hall, the Council Chamber and small office space, all of which are available to hire.

The Main Hall at Whiston Town Hall, being the largest room available, is frequently hired at weekends, by private parties, for Wedding Receptions, Birthdays, festivals and other special occasions. During the week, it is also used by various Community Groups ranging from Morris Dancers to Indoor Bowls and Exercise Groups.

The Hall benefits from:

  • Access to a secure, well maintained and pleasant garden area
  • A reception area 
  • Seating and tables for up to 150 guests
  • Use of a newly refurbished kitchen

In addition to the main hall, the Council Chamber is also available to hire. This room has recently been refurbished and can be used for meetings, interviews, training days and lectures.

The room benefits from:

  • A private, comfortable, seating area for up to 22 people around the table
  • Free Wi Fi access
  • Projector screen availability
  • Access to kitchen area
  • Light Refreshments can be provided (with prior arrangement)
