Whiston Town Council held a Community Awards event on Tuesday 6th December with many local groups in attendance. Whiston Town Mayor Cllr Marianne Burke-Thompson with her Consort Liz Burke presented awards at the event. Whiston Town Council would like to thank all the groups in our community who volunteer so others can benefit from their support and help. Most groups at the event gave an overview about who they are, what they do and how Whiston residents use their services. We are so grateful for all they do.
Congratulations to Brian Ledsham on his Citizen Of The Year Award 2022. He has given over 37 years to running,helping and supporting Whiston Juniors FC in many roles and the club hope for many more too. Brian received his award by Whiston Town Mayor Cllr Marianne Burke-Thompson

Celebrating 40 years service at Whiston Town Council is Town Clerk Sandra Mayers who ensures the visions and values of the Town Council is followed. Her ongoing support to the Council, Staff and Residents is much appreciated and she received an an award in recognition of her hard work and dedication to Whiston.
