Remembrance Day Preparations - The Town Mayor, together with Councillor Neil Murray, and armed with a ladder, erected poppies on lamp posts throughout Whiston Village and along the main roads of Whiston. Although time consuming, it was a worthwhile task in order to commemorate lives lost, in conflicts, over many years.
Representing the Town Council at the Remembrance Day Sunday Service, held at St Nicholas' Church, Whiston were the Town Mayor, Councillor Stephen Henry and his Consort, Mrs Carol Henry, Councillor Neil Murray, Councillor Sheila Rees, Councillor Denise Allen and Town Clerk Mrs Sandra Mayers.

September 2024
The Town Mayor, along with his Consort, Barbara Percy, attended the 100th Birthday party of Sarah (Sally) Fagan, who, until recently, resided in Whiston and regularly attended the Luncheon Club at the Robert Foulkes Centre. Sally was presented with a special award from Whiston Town Council and she enjoyed the celebration which was attended by family, friends and staff. Everyone enjoyed a lovely buffet and a sing a long and were entertained by a Scottish piper played at this special event.

The Town Mayor and Consort were invited to come along to the Town Hall to meet some of the young people from the 'Everton in the Community' group who were taking part in a number of community activities.
Our regular indoor bowls group were happy to spend some time teaching the youngsters how to play and the Mayor and Consort also tried their hand at learning the techniques of the sport.
